La contabilidad es la ciencia social  aplicada  que estudia la valoración cualitativa y cuantitativa de la existencia   y circulación  de la riqueza ambiental, social y económica (entre otras),  que a través de la utilización de diversos métodos  (internos y externos) cumple con la función de evaluar la gestión organizacional  y rendir cuentas con respecto al control que se ha ejercido sobre dicha riqueza, con la finalidad de contribuir a la óptima acumulación, generación, distribución y sustentabilidad  de la mencionada riqueza (múltiples)»
